Part of the mod revival of the late seventies, The Chords were spotted by Paul Weller at a gig at The Wellington Pub in Waterloo. Supports with The Undertones, The Purple Hearts, The Jam & Secret Affair followed. Jimmy Pursey of Sham 69 signed them to his own label before they moved to Polydor.

A tempestuous couple of years followed, with lead singer duties being taken over by ex Vibrators front man Kip. After calling it a day in 1982, then band reformed in 1996 with live shows including The Buzzcocks Tony Barber on bass & The Who's brass section.

This tour sees support from The Killameters & The Universal.
