This Bank Holiday weekend, Team Leadmill took a trip over to West Yorkshire to visit Live At Leeds Festival. Well renowned for the wide range of exciting established and upcoming acts, we all had a fantastic day experiencing a showcase of the very best new talent hitting the music scene.

Taking place across the whole city of Leeds, across a variety of different venues there really was something for everybody.

Live At Leeds 2019 Line Up

We started our day by checking out Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard playing to a jam packed room at Leeds Beckett SU. Their vintage rock and roll vibes were the perfect start to the day and we expect to see them packing out even bigger stages next year!

Straight after we took a short walk over to The Chapel to see Leadmill favourites, Patawawa. As always their infectious crazy dancing spread across the whole room, injecting a massive dose of disco vibes and energy into 3PM in the afternoon.

Just around the corner was local indie pop four-piece Marsicans, playing one of their biggest hometown shows to date at the Leeds O2 Academy. These lads are certainly ones to check out for fans of Bombay Bicycle Club, Sundara Karma & Jaws and we expect to see much more of them in the future.

Next up was a trip down to the wardrobe for Sports Team. Following their show at our place just a few weeks ago, we expected high energy, moshing and crowd surfing throughout, with this being exactly what we got!

The energy picked up even more of a pace for Confidence Man at Leeds University Union. With the whole set feeling like a party, this was certainly our highlight of the day. For 45 minutes we felt fully immersed in a non stop electro pop rave, including costume changes, choreographed dance routines and much more.

Just across the hallway on our way out of town we stopped by to watch headline act and man of the minute, Tom Grennan at The University Refectory. Reeling through his collection of hits it is clear to see how he has come so far, with a feeling that he is only getting started.

We finished our day to the infectious chilled out sounds of Easy Life over at one of our favourite venues, Brudenell Social Club, who provided the perfect end to a wonderful day.
