Charities We Support

This year, The Leadmill are supporting five different charities in hopes that we can drive awareness to the work that they do in supporting various communities. We will be fundraising on their behalves and taking donations in the venue as well. Nordoff Robbins is a charity that uses the power of music therapy to enrich the lives of people affected by life limited illness, isolation or disability. The largest independent music therapy charity in the UK, supporting thousands of people through its own centres and by working in partnership with organisations including care homes, schools and hospitals. Nordoff’s expert music therapists can help people with dementia reconnect with family members, children with autism to speak for the first time and give those living with mental health problems moment of genuine calm and peace.

Cavendish Cancer Care is a local Sheffield charity, dedicated to improving the quality of life for those affected by a cancer diagnosis. Believing that nobody should face cancer alone, Cavendish offer free of charge packages of therapies and support to the patient, their carer and their children. Therapy sessions are delivered by highly skilled and experienced professionals, and help to alleviate the emotional and physical distress caused by a cancer diagnosis.

Weston Park Cancer Charity aim to face cancer with you. Their services, advice, therapies and support are for those affected and the people close to them – helping everyone to live with and beyond cancer.
The funds that are raised for Weston Park Cancer Charity are also supporting vital, pioneering research and clinical trials led by the exceptional medical experts at the Weston Park Cancer Centre. The charity aims to care in every sense for patients and their families, with support being free Weston Park Cancer Charity are available to help and together at every step.

Music For All are a charity that firmly believe in the mantra ‘Making Music Changes Lives’. Music making is a life enhancing and life changing activity that should be able to be enjoyed by everyone. The charity exists to bring the world of music making to as many people as possible in the UK, by donating instruments and music tuition to individuals that need help, as well as making grants available to address the musical needs of community music groups and educational organisations. The Music For All Charity also runs the annual Learn to Play Day, bringing free ‘Learn to Play’ experiences to people of all ages and backgrounds. Music for All promotes the life changing and life enhancing benefits of music making, and truly wants music to be for all.

Sheffield Mind is has been providing mental health support to people in Sheffield for over 40 years – a free service open. In addition to providing practical and emotional support to people with a range of needs, the charity work with businesses to raise awareness of mental health issues and provide training and advice to employers so they’re better equipped to support customers and colleagues. Sheffield Mind are committed to providing accessible, broad range of services to meet as many local needs as possible.
