If stand-up is the new Rock ‘N’ Roll then Canadian Tom Stade is Keith Richards! A powerhouse of epic story telling with a villainous sense of humour and bombastic wit. Tom has appeared on both Live at the Apollo and the John Bishop show but it’s performing live where this outstanding comedy star really shines brightest.
Stephanie Laing: Goofy and peculiar, Stephanie Laing’s comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable.
‘Disgusting and delightful in equal measure’ Three Weeks
Rob Mulholland: One of the fastest rising comics in the North, Rob Mulholland is a very odd man who is much less creepy than he looks. He is very tall and very funny. His jokes are rapid-fire, his jeans are too tight and his jackets were once owned by dead men.
Big Lou: Lewis ‘Big Lou’ Jones has become a favourite on the comedy circuit. The Manchester born comic announced himself on to the comedy scene by winning the Lass O’gowrie New Comedian Of The Year competition and quickly established himself as a top compère. He’s also a regular on FAB Radio, BBC Radio Manchester & BBC Radio Lancashire.
“Big Lou was on the first ever Manfords Comedy Club
Night and he was there because we thought he’d smash it. He Did!” Jason Manford
