A long overdue return to the Leadmill for simple one of the very best acts from the comedy circuit. You’ll have seen Mick on various TV shows, heard him on the radio and he’s won a hat full of comedy awards but live on-stage he’s comedy gold and his lugubrious surrealism and razor sharp banter will tickle your funny bone from start to finish.
Making big waves with his modern twist on old school joke telling. He’s like a cross between Les Dawson and Jimmy Carr but with more of Dawson’s down to earth charm and none of Carr’s smugness! Big Lou has played most of the premier comedy venues in the North West and beyond. Big Lou also presents a Tuesday and Saturday Night FM Radio Show. He is a quick witted, laugh a minute, big hearted comedian who will take any audience by storm.
“Big Lou, a robust gag-merchant, the material is original as well as punchy, while Lou is blessed with funny bones that kept the laughs coming” Chortle
Described as ‘An expert gag craftsman’ George followed in the footsteps of of Jack Whitehall and Sarah Millican to win the Amused National New Comic Award at the Edinburgh Fringe. He has since won a bunch of other titles, placed Runner Up in the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year and BBC New Comedy Award, was hand-picked to perform as part of the Pleasance Reserve, supported Romesh Ranganathan on tour and played to three thousand people at the Edinburgh Playhouse as part of the Comedy Gala. You can currently catch George on the new Stand Up sketch Show on ITV.
Australian Thomas Green is as engaging as he is energetic, with a high-calibre stage presence and countless faces and voices that come through his standup. A former school teacher who swapped the whiteboard marker for a mic, and hasn’t looked back since. He began his career by selling out his first festival run in hometown Adelaide (2012), being nominated the following year for Best Emerging Comedy and since has only gone from strength to strength, selling out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe. A comic on the rise not to be missed.
